january 1 - 2007
2006 was a real studio setup year and though i enjoyed it a lot thank god it's over. till the very last minute i was hammering, screwing on the warderobe, doing this and that and cleaning cleaning...enough! friend drew has activated visuals with a new studio clip - certainly not the last one. however, this time at daylight. it was made when the handcrafties were installing a new bath and toilet and xtmas day was the first day where we could take a shower. wow! no wow with me though as i prefer to take a cold shower at night in the garden no matter if it's freezing or not.
next time I'll smash doc walker - foto: u-shethe first issue of my back catalogue seems to sell well to what i heard from the company. now the second issue is in full preparation consisting of
- movies
- time and tide (with u-she)
- plight - premonition (with david sylvian)
- clash (with doctor walker)the mastering will start in 2 days. 'movies' will have to versions of 'cool in the pool', both of them 29 years old. at that time i didn't dare to put those mixes onto the longplayer as i thought they are not radio friendly enough. one version is only instrumental and it means you can try your own version using this as playback.
'oh lord, give us more money' will be extended by a part where i was trying a test singing when still with can.
'plight - premonition' will become about double as long as before. david sylvian is contributing 2 remixes which do sound more direct than the original versions. myself is doing the same but in opposite direction going more for new sources than leaning on the originals. plight in combination with the music of anton webern, the key composer of the post 12-tone music till today will become one option.
'clash' will also be provided with a concert from chicago from 10 years ago. the arrangement and editing of the double cd will become significantly different.cheers and bye for now
